My Journey of Growth and Achievement at GCUH

Posted on July 16, 2025July 16, 2025 By blog.gcuh No Comments on My Journey of Growth and Achievement at GCUH

Introduction

My name is Ahsan Ahmed Shaikh, I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. Over the years, I’ve actively participated in multiple tech competitions and talent festivals. These platforms gave me the chance to apply my skills in real-world scenarios. My journey has been full of challenges, achievements, and learning experiences.

About My University – Government College University Hyderabad (GCUH)

I am a student of Government College University Hyderabad (GCUH), enrolled in the Department of Information Technology, Batch 2022. GCUH is a well-reputed public university that provides quality education and encourages student innovation. My department has given me the right foundation in both theoretical and practical areas of IT. The university actively supports participation in co-curricular and national-level competitions. I am proud to represent GCUH on multiple platforms.

Representing GCUH in Huawei ICT Talent Competition

I had the honor of representing GCUH in the Huawei ICT Talent Competition, where I competed in the Cloud track. Through hard work and support from my teachers, I cleared the national round of the competition. It was a proud moment receiving the certificate for this milestone. This experience boosted my confidence and allowed me to connect with professionals in the tech industry. It truly reflected the level of talent at GCUH.

Talent Festival Journey (2022–2024)

Talent Festival 2022 – Web Development (1st Position)

In 2022, I participated in the 2nd Talent Festival organized by GCUH and achieved 1st position in Web Development. It was my first major recognition within the university and gave me great motivation. My project received appreciation from judges for its creativity and functionality. This win boosted my confidence and set the tone for future events. It marked the beginning of my competitive journey.

Talent Festival 2023 – Web Development (3rd Position)

The following year, in 2023, I again took part in the Web Development category. This time, I secured the 3rd position, reflecting continued improvement and consistency. Although the competition was tougher, it was a valuable learning experience. I refined my project based on feedback from previous events. The exposure helped me improve my coding and design skills.

Talent Festival 2024 – App Development (1st Position)

In 2024, I shifted my focus to the App Development category and presented my project CV360, an AI-powered resume analyzer. My efforts were rewarded as I secured 1st position in the competition. This project highlighted my ability to solve real-world problems using mobile technology. It was one of the most appreciated projects of the festival. Winning in a new category showed my growth and adaptability.

Project Highlights: CV360 & eStudies LMS

For App Development, I built CV360, an AI-powered resume analyzer app using Kotlin and Room database. It helped users match their CVs with job descriptions and get recommendations. In Web Development, I created eStudies LMS, a complete learning platform for students and teachers. Both projects received appreciation from judges and peers. These projects reflect my interest in solving real-world problems using technology.

Support and Experience Through Events

IMG_256Participating in such events brought immense personal and professional growth. The encouragement from GCUH faculty and exposure to competition improved my presentation, coding, and team skills. Winning positions and representing my university gave me a sense of pride. These events not only sharpened my skills but also prepared me for future industry challenges. I believe every student should take advantage of such opportunities.

Conclusion
My time at GCUH has been filled with learning, creativity, and continuous achievement. From national competitions to campus festivals, every moment taught me something new. I look forward to exploring even more opportunities ahead. I thank my university, teachers, and teammates for their support throughout this journey.
